Arvind Kejriwal says in Kurukshetra, ‘Lord Krishna with us’ in this battle

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asserted on Sunday that Lord Krishna is with the opposition parties in the current battle between dharma (righteousness) and adharma (wickedness).

Launching the Aam Admi Party’s poll campaign in Haryana’s Kurukshetra, he called upon people to decide on which side they want to be in this battle.

“Kurukshetra is the most historical land where a religious war was fought. Today there is a fight between religion and unrighteousness. The Pandavas had Lord Shri Krishna; today Lord Shri Krishna is with us. Today they [BJP] have all the powers, including CBI-ED. This is a battle between righteousness and wickedness; now you people must decide which side you are on,” he said.

Under the INDIA alliance, AAP is contesting for Kurukshetra, one of the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, where they have fielded former Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Gupta.

“Today there are two types of people in the country: either devotees (desh bhakt) or blind devotees (andh bhakt). All the patriots out there should come with me. All the blind devotees should go with them,” he further said.

The Delhi Chief Minister urged people not to “fall into the trap of thinking that we must choose the Prime Minister.” He asked people to vote to elect an MP, not the PM.

“Don’t make a mistake this time. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that we must choose the Prime Minister. The rest will choose the Prime Minister. We will choose our own MP. Send your man to Parliament. Don’t bother about choosing the Prime Minister,” he said.

The AAP chief asserted that the BJP can “never become the voice of traders, farmers, and unemployed people.”

“Kurukshetra will change, Haryana will change, and win for INDIA right now,” Kejriwal gave the campaign slogan in Kurukshetra.

Notably, assembly elections are also to be held in Haryana by the end of this year.
