A Congress Central Election Committee meeting today in Delhi is likely to decide on a second Lok Sabha seat for party MP Rahul Gandhi.
According to the party’s first list of candidates for 39 Lok Sabha constituencies, Rahul Gandhi will contest from Wayanad, Kerala, a seat he won in the 2019 elections. But speculations are rife that he would also contest from a second constituency in the upcoming elections.
Senior party leader KC Venugopal said there will be a “clear picture” of the decision in the coming days, adding that Rahul Gandhi will decide the dates to visit Wayanad only after his ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra ends on March 17.
