A 20-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh was killed, and his body was found dumped in a car deep inside a forest in the US.
Paruchuri Abhijit from Burripalem, Guntur, was studying engineering at Boston University.
The attackers haven’t been identified yet.
His body was found in a forest within the campus, and it is suspected that the attackers might have killed Abhijit for money and laptop, said The Times of India.
The murder at the university has raised many questions, and there’s a possibility that Abhijit might have had some arguments with other students.
He was the only son of his parents, Paruchuri Chakradhar and Srilakshmi.
Abhijit was a bright student from his childhood, his family members said.
Even though Abhijit’s mother initially opposed his decision to study abroad, she changed her mind because she wanted what was best for his future, the Times of India reported.
Paruchuri Abhijit’s parents were in shock when they learnt that their son had been killed.
Abhijit’s remains reached Burripalem in Guntur at his house late Friday evening.
This is the ninth incident of such an attack in the US on a person of Indian origin in 2024.
